Butterflies

One of Eliana's favorite book series right now is Fancy Nancy. How could she not love a series of books all about a little girl who loves accessories from her head to her toes and uses fancy words? Sound like anyone we know? We only have the original Fancy Nancy book but we have borrowed all the others from the library numerous times. This week we currently have Fancy Nancy Bonjour Butterfly. In this story Nancy is supposed to go to her best friend's butterfly birthday party but her parents tell her she has to go to her grandparents' anniversary party instead. After throwing a 3-day tantrum she ends up enjoying the party and apologizing to everyone. The next day they go to a butterfly exhibit at the local zoo. When I mentioned to Eliana there was a butterfly exhibit near our house she immediately suggested we go. In fact, I think she said "That would be exquisite, I will ask Daddy if we can go tomorrow." Well, it was Daddy's day off and he couldn't resist her charm so we headed to the nature center. Eliana was sure to say "Bonjour" to all the butterflies and remark about how magnificent and exquisite they all were.
