Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

For the first time, we decided to cut down our own tree for Christmas. We went to the same orchard as last year where we had purchased a pre-cut tree. The kids loved running through the rows of trees searching for the perfect one. Now, everyone's idea of perfect is a little different. I look for a tree with sturdy branches that will hold all of our precious heavy ornaments. Jonah was looking for a tree with perfect symmetry, if that exists. And for some reason, Eliana seemed to pick out all the tree that may have been featured on the Charlie Brown Christmas special. (read; brown and missing limbs) Oh well, we finally agreed on one particular tree and Jonah got the task of cutting it down. I think he may have tried to make me do but since I am rather pregnant he took pity on me and crawled down on the ground with the provided hand saw. His techniques were... interesting, but it finally fell over. Benji and Eliana cheered him on saying "Go Daddy Go" the whole time.
